High Mileage Coverage

Fifteen model years

15 years: age, not miles, is the gate

Paid placement. Click 4 Coverage is a client of OwnersFirm, which publishes this site and is paid when a reader who arrives from it buys coverage. The card on this page is advertising. Nothing on this page was scored or ordered for it.

15 years old. At this age the model year on the title can matter more than the reading on the dash.

Two printed age limits

Endurance's FAQ prints 20 model years old or newer (endurancewarranty.com/faq). A 15-year-old car is inside that line. olive's FAQ prints 10 model years (olive.com/faqs). A 15-year-old car is outside it. The other vehicle service contract companies whose sites we could read on October 16, 2026 did not print an age limit at all.

Low miles, old car

A 15-year-old car with 90,000 miles is under most mileage limits and can still be over an age limit. A 6-year-old car with 160,000 miles can be the reverse. Neither number wins on its own. Put both on the quote and ask which one the company checks first.

The factory side

At 15 years, no factory term in our brand table is running. The longest is 10 years. Any coverage on a car this old is a service contract, and every word of it comes from the contract you sign.

Confirm against your VIN. The factory clock starts at first sale, not at the model year. Terms vary by model year, trim and market.

Who prints an age limit of 15 years or more

6 of 21 companies in the file print a limit at or past 15 years. 1 print a lower one. 14 print none at all, which you learn only at the quote.

Alphabetical, not ranked. A printed limit is what the company says on its own pages; the quote decides.

Questions for the quote

What to expect on your model

Mileage is half of it. The other half is the car itself. The advertiser keeps model-year pages by make and model with the factory terms and the questions owners ask. Those pages are theirs, not ours.
